Engaging in the Present to Prepare for the Future

Web Accessibility

Accessibility Statement: USD 320 is committed to providing a website and digital services that are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the accessibility and usability of our websites, documents, and digital tools.

Accessibility Standard: USD 320 is working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Our compliance target date is April 2027.

What we’re doing

We use a combination of methods to improve accessibility, which may include:

  • Using accessible page structure (headings, links, lists) and keyboard-friendly navigation
  • Adding alternative text to images where appropriate
  • Providing captions and/or transcripts for posted multimedia when available
  • Improving color contrast and readability
  • Remediating PDFs and other documents or providing accessible alternatives

Known limitations

Some older documents or third-party content may not yet be fully accessible. When we become aware of an accessibility issue, we work to correct it or provide the information in an alternate format.

Other nearby keys show symbols like “+”, “=”, “-”, and part of “delete,” with a small accessibility badge icon in the bottom-right corner.

Additional Information

Request accessible documents or alternate formats

You may request an accessible format of a document (PDF, Word, etc.) or ask for information in another format. Please tell us:

  • The document name and where you found it (link if possible)
  • The format you prefer (accessible PDF, HTML web page, Word, large print, etc.)
  • Any deadline you are working under

Response time (Service Level Agreement)

We respond to accessibility requests as quickly as possible. Our typical response times are:

  • Acknowledgement: within 2 business days
  • Time-sensitive access (urgent needs): within 1 business day when the issue prevents access to time-critical information (for example: school closure alerts, registration deadlines, immediate forms)
  • Workaround or alternate access provided: within 5 business days (for example: accessible version of a document, content provided by email, or staff-assisted completion)
  • Fix or remediation plan: within 10 business days, or we will provide a written update with an expected timeline

Third-party sites and apps

USD 320 may link to third-party websites or use third-party platforms (for example, school communication, student information, calendars, or ticketing). We encourage vendors to provide accessible products and we will work with you to provide information or support if a third-party tool presents an accessibility barrier.
