Wamego High School
Wamego High School was originally built in 1938. The north science and music rooms were added in 1950, in 1979 the south wing including the gym was added . In 2005 WHS received an extensive renovation and addition.
Reading, writing and problem solving are emphasized in every WHS classroom. Students select from a variety of elective and required courses. Advanced Placement courses are offered in US History, US Government, European History, Psychology, Literature and Composition, and Chemistry. Career and Technical Education courses include but are not limited to Computer Assisted Drafting, Child Care, Radio and TV Broadcasting, Construction Exploration, and Horticulture. Interscholastic sports and activity programs are offered to both boys and girls in all grades at WHS.
